Email is one of the most powerful channels because customers can write at length and your agent has time to think. Chatzuri gives you two ways to set it up.
Option 1 — Chatzuri-hosted address (zero setup)
Every agent gets a built-in email address of the form:
{agentId}@chatzuri.comFind it on the agent's Connect → Email tab. Anyone who emails it reaches your agent. Replies come from the same address.
When to use it
- You want email working in 30 seconds
- You don't need branded sender addresses
- Internal use cases (employee help-desks, partners)
Option 2 — Bring your own domain (Mailgun)
If you want emails to come from support@yourcompany.com instead, connect Mailgun.
Set up a Mailgun domain
In Mailgun, add and verify your sending domain. Configure DKIM, SPF, and DMARC as Mailgun instructs.
Get an API key
From Mailgun's API Security page. Copy the private API key.
Configure the inbound route
In Mailgun → Receiving → Routes, create a route that forwards mail to the Chatzuri ingress URL (shown in Chatzuri's setup screen).
Add to Chatzuri
On the agent's Connect → Email tab, choose Mailgun, then enter:
- Domain (e.g.
mg.yourcompany.com) - API key
- From name and address
Send a test
Email support@yourcompany.com. Your agent replies from the same address.
Threading
Replies preserve subject lines and reply chains, so a conversation feels like a real email thread.
