WhatsApp Business connects via the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API. It's the right choice if you need verified business messaging at scale, full template support, and broadcast lists.
Before you start
- A verified Meta Business Account
- A phone number not currently used on consumer WhatsApp
- A WhatsApp Business display name approved by Meta
Open the agent's Connect tab
Click WhatsApp Business. You'll see the setup form.
Get your Cloud API credentials
From Meta Business Manager → WhatsApp Manager. Copy:
- Phone number ID
- WhatsApp Business Account ID
- Access token (System User token, permanent)
Paste them in Chatzuri
All three fields. Click Save. Chatzuri verifies the credentials with Meta.
Set the webhook in Meta
Chatzuri shows you a webhook URL and verify token. In Meta's WhatsApp Manager → Configuration → Webhooks:
- Callback URL: paste from Chatzuri
- Verify token: paste from Chatzuri

Send a test message
From your phone, message the WhatsApp Business number. Within a second your agent replies.
Templates and proactive messages
Meta restricts unsolicited messages — you can only send a proactive message using a pre-approved template. Configure templates in WhatsApp Manager. Once approved, your agent can send them via the Send WhatsApp template custom action.
The 24-hour customer service window
After a customer messages you, you have a 24-hour window to reply with free-form messages. Outside that window, you must use a template. Your agent handles this automatically.
