Instagram DMs

Reply to Instagram direct messages from your agent.

Instagram DMs are connected via the same Meta integration as Messenger. Your agent can read and reply to direct messages on any Instagram Business or Creator account you manage.

Before you start

  • An Instagram Business or Creator account
  • The Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page
  • You're an admin of that Page

Open Connect → Instagram

On the agent's Connect tab, click Instagram DMs. Click Connect Facebook.

Authorise

Sign in to Facebook (the account that admins your IG-linked Page). Approve permissions including instagram_manage_messages.

Select the Instagram account

Pick the linked IG account from the list. Click Continue.

Test

Send a DM to your IG account from another device. Your agent replies.

What works

  • Reply to DMs (text, images, voice notes)
  • Reply to story mentions
  • Reply to comments on posts (depending on your business permissions)
Heads up
Personal Instagram accounts can't be connected. Convert to Business or Creator first (free, takes a minute in the Instagram app).
